Education and Skills

While the new Labour government no longer uses the famous ‘Education, Education, Education’ mantra, the saliency of education and skills, at the heart of the Opportunities mission, is as strong as it has ever been.

WA has deep experience across education and skills – from early years, schools and special needs provision, through to tackling the skills gap and connecting world-class research to policymaking, we have worked with organisations across the sector, and are well versed in the issues.

Our team includes a former NUS Vice President, and the former General Secretary of LSE Students’ Union.

We focus on three areas:

  • Higher Education – Helping universities create the right environment to enable them to build their reputation and the impact of their world-leading research on policymaking.
  • Skills and Training – Creating the right regulatory and policy framework to allow training providers and colleges to deliver the skills the country needs to ensure economic success.
  • Education Services Helping education and children’s service providers to get the funding and regulatory regime they need to support the youngest and most vulnerable in our society.
