Clara McDermott Simarro

Clara provides project delivery for her clients which span public health, med-tech, cancer policy and public affairs. She joined WA as an Account Manager, coming from a health policy and communications position at another agency.

She has recently undertaken a secondment at a global pharmaceutical company where she gained exposure to role of public affairs and patient advocacy within a cross-functional team. The experience highlighted the valuable work of patient advocacy groups and importance of industry-patient group collaboration, allowed her the opportunity to build and set strategy, and developed her knowledge of cancer policy.

Clara has a First-Class degree in Liberal Arts: Politics from Exeter University, and after her graduation spent 5 months travelling Australia and Southeast Asia. Outside of work, Clara likes to cook (and eat) and socialise with friends.
