Using digital analytics tools, Westminster Advisers has examined the extent to which Britons and Europeans are engaging with the topic of Brexit online.
We’ve found that MEPs are even more focused on Brexit than MPs, and the Irish public are searching for Brexit news almost as much as residents of the UK themselves.
Conversations about Brexit between politicians in Ireland, Germany, France and Spain fell quickly after the initial shock and have remained muted since.
Ultimately, the media and general public have other matters on their mind – with searches for US presidential hopeful Donald Trump and The Great British Bake Off easily overtaking Brexit – more Arctic Roll than Article 50.
