WA's review of Bringing Energy Home, Labour's plan for energy networks

Yesterday, the Labour Party published their plan to bring energy networks back into public ownership. The proposal, ‘Bringing Energy Home’, sets out how Labour would renationalise the National Grid and energy networks via the creation of national, regional and municipal energy agencies. Labour’s nationalisation plan aims to reduce costs for consumers and tackle climate change. The plan also includes provisions for local authorities to manage distribution networks and for local communities to set up their own energy firms.

At WA, we’ve digested Labour’s plan and set out our initial thoughts and key recommendations on how industry can respond to, and shape, Labour’s proposals.

If you would like to discuss Labour’s proposals in further detail or would like any more information, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
