Account Director

WA Communications is on the hunt for a brilliant Account Director to join its award-winning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced consultant who wants to work on campaigns that make a difference, and who wants to be part of a company committed to sustainable growth.

Voted best consultancy in 2020 by the CIPR, WA is a market leading communications consultancy, based in Westminster. Our team is behind some of this year’s most impactful campaigns – extending the Stamp Duty holiday, protecting free access to cash, and expanding the Cycle to Work Scheme to include e-bikes are just three examples of our work.

Our highly regarded Strategic Communications Practice is growing rapidly and so we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join the team and play an important role in helping to drive our continued growth.

As an Account Director you will play a pivotal role in the team –leading campaigns on an exciting range of issues and working with colleagues from across the business to help develop new business opportunities. You’ll play your part designing and executing strategies through creative tactics that grab attention and maintaining the team’s momentum towards goals. Get in touch if you:

  • Have at least five-year’s experience of working on corporate communications, PR and corporate reputation work
  • Are experienced in leading integrated communications campaigns that use creative tactics and channels to reach target audiences
  • Have first-hand experience of media engagement, press office, content and channel management, message development and crisis communications
  • Thrive on managing multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Are known for having a very strong eye for detail and maintaining quality
  • Are a team player who will show initiative and roll their sleeves up to help
  • Really care about client service and you know what excellent client care looks like
  • Have very strong interpersonal and networking skills
  • Are naturally inquisitive and curious with a desire to learn and grow

Experience of working in a corporate communications consultancy would be desirable, but a track record of leading communications campaigns that influence public opinion is absolutely necessary, whether that’s been for a charity, an NGO, a trade association or in an in-house role.
